Introduction to Centrifuge
What is it?
It is an independent and compact platform for various power movements. It is a flywheel motion device that utilizes the moment of inertia to provide high and variable resistance for the user's concentric and eccentric movements.
Concentric muscle movement refers to muscle shortening, while eccentric muscle movement refers to muscle elongation during exercise. In some literature, concentric and eccentric muscle movements are referred to as positive (shortened) and negative (prolonged) phases, respectively.
What is its working principle?
There is an adjustable length drive belt wrapped around the shaft located below the platform. Different combinations of flywheels are installed at the end of the shaft.
Using a gripper or a safety belt attached to a pulley, the user pulls to accelerate the flywheel, and then when the conveyor belt rotates in another direction, the user impedance slows down the flywheel.
